There are so many animals at sanctuaries simply waiting for somebody to take them.
Nonetheless, some pets take much longer to be rescued than others.
Sadly, numerous pets wind up waiting years for their permanent homes… and beginning to worry whether they’ll ever be able to go.
But no matter how old a dog is or how lengthy they’ve been at a sanctuary, they ought to be happy.
Now, one rescue is seeking a new home for one of their senior canines… using a single devastating shot to communicate her entire experience.
Ginger is a Labrador retriever mix that lives in Osage Beach, Missouri.
She’s a wonderful doggie who adores having fun… Unfortunately, no one has ever taken her in.
She’s been at Dogwood Animal Sanctuary for over 8 years, sitting in the kennels while other animals get taken.
But the sanctuary is hopeful that someone will take a risk on her after seeing how lengthy she has been waiting.
She appears unhappy in her cage in a popular shot, while a placard outside demostrates her tale.
“Hi! My name is Ginger! I’ve been here for 7 years, 9 months, 2 weeks, and 2 days. »
« I’m a nice girl! » I guarantee it! « All I need is an opportunity »
It’s a touching shot that has gained a lot of attention: it’s been tweeted over 14,000 times in just one day.
She must be the only animal in the home, but she is otherwise simply a good doggie searching for a home.
She’ll be eternally grateful to you for giving her the « second opportunity » she’s been yearning for.
We pray she quickly locates a new home. If you are curious, you may complete an application at the shelter or call them directly!
