People were shocked to see what emerged from the sea. Tourists along the Romanian coast were surprised by what they saw in the water. With the waves of the sea, a wounded dolphin was washed ashore.
The dolphin was pulled out of the water in an attempt to save it, but unfortunately, it had no chance. Experts confirm that it is a mammal of the species Delphinus Delphis.
Several wounds were discovered on its body, likely caused by fishing nets.
In the Black Sea, there are three species of marine mammals: the common porpoise (Phocoena phocoena), the common dolphin (Delphinus delphis), and the bottlenose dolphin (Grampus griseus).
These incidents underscore the challenges that marine mammals face due to human activities and call for greater awareness and protection of marine ecosystems.
